3x3 Shopping Rule; how to buy clothes you’ll actually wear!
We’ve all been there. You think that something is a good deal, or something will add some variety to your wardrobe, or that something you buy will inspire you to start dressing with more style. Then, a few months later you haven’t even taken the tags off, or it’s still sitting in the bag, or you’ve tried to wear it but every time you do it just doesn’t work.
Let me tell you why that is happening. Because you are buying clothes that are wrong for you and wrong for your wardrobe. What you are buying doesn’t fit your shape, style, or life! When your clothes don’t fit your shape, style, or life they don’t fit you and you never wear them.
Pause: If you don’t know your body shape or personal style, find those out here.
Here’s how you are going to avoid buying anymore clothes that you end up never wearing;
The 3x3 Shopping Rule!
When you are shopping for clothes you are going to ask yourself these two questions before it makes its way to checkout.
Do I have 3 things CURRENTLY in my closet that I can wear this with?
If the answer is no, then most likely it doesn’t fit your style. If what you are thinking of buying can’t easily mix and match with what you already own it’s not going to work with the style that is already in your closet. It won’t add the versatility to your wardrobe you want.
2. Can I name 3 places that I would wear this to?
If the answer is no, then most like it doesn’t fit your life. If you don’t have a reason or place to wear something it won’t fit your current wardrobe needs, it won’t add the value to your wardrobe you want.
3x3; 3 things you can wear it with, 3 places you can wear it too. If you can name those, green flags ahead. If you can’t, warning red flags beware!
