What to shop at Christopher & Banks spring 2020!
Here’s one of my favorite things about Fashion Fix, getting to show you where to shop for pieces that fit comfortably and deliver great style. Sometimes we head to the usual stores. Target, Old Navy, Gap, Loft, etc. When I pop into a place to shop that is unexpected though, that’s when I have the most fun. It’s a thrill to show you hidden treasures that offer our Fashion Fix family clothes that fit will, look good, and are affordable.
Christopher & Banks is one of those stores you might just walk by when at the mall. I’ve got to tell you, that would be a mistake. I stopped in there myself and shopped their spring collection, I was not disappointed with what I found. Most everything actually fit true to size, and EVERYTHING comes in missy and plus! How many brands offer that, not many. Typically it’s select styles or on-line only. Not Christopher & Banks, they are making the shopping experience simple and streamlined for all!
Jackpot! You all have seen me try on countless button down shirts, and none of them have had the right fit for my apple shape. If I get them big enough to fit my midsection I’m swimming in the bust and the shoulder, if they fit the bust and shoulder I can’t even button them over my stomach. Finally I found my unicorn when I tried on this style from Christopher & Banks. I loved it so much I ordered the solid white in addition to buying this cute bumblebee critter one!
When the first one fit I was excited to try on all of them! Gingham is a such a fun seasonal pattern, giving you all the spring and summer feels. If you are looking for a fresh pick me up that speaks to your preppy hear this is the shirt for you!
I couldn’t pass up the stripe option, considering it was in one of my best colors. In the end I took this one home with me instead of the gingham. The stripe pattern will be more versatile in my personal wardrobe and matches my personal style better!
This top might seam seasonal with its fabric blend and soft colors. But don’t limit yourself, this top will effortless hit our 90/100 rule*. You will have no problem wearing this as is with cute capris or light denim in the spring and summer. When the weather cools off in the fall you can layer this with a cardigan or cute jacket, you will get tons of productivity out of a bonus buy top like this!
*You should be able to wear 90% of your wardrobe 100%.
How sweet is this top! Can’t you see yourself wearing this to brunch or a baby shower this spring. We all love having tops like this that give us an elevated look without feeling overdressed. A perfect bonus buy option to update your seasonal look. There is no stretch and it runs small. I am wearing a plus size X, but if they had it I would have tried on a 1X.
If you are looking to add a splash of your best color to your wardrobe this top is for you. Simple with classic details and will fit a variety of body shapes. For balance and a complimentary look I would wear almost always wear this with the sleeve ruched and leave the top buttons open.
Fashion knits are life for moms! These tops are fantastic for delivering a styled and put together look when you still want to feel casual and everyday! This top is so soft and stretchy, and has plenty of room in the bust, shoulder, and arm if you are top curvy!
Here is another option in a grey stripe, but without the buttons. This has the same fit but they didn’t have an XL available in store so I have on a L.
I was beyond excited to find some awesome athleisure options! The fabric is dreamy and the fit is so comfortable. It was an even bigger win that these next two tops were available in some of my best colors. This is key, because most likely you will be wearing athleisure tops with no make up. So find tops in colors that best compliment your complexion! Also, isn’t the side knot detail so cute!
This atleisure top has more of a tunic fit. If a longer shirt is more your style this one is for you!
This sweater was probably my favorite top to try and style of the night! It’s one of those sweaters that you would see hanging on the rack or folded on a table and walk right past thinking that it was too ‘mature’ of a style. When I saw it I knew it had potential! Here’s the trick, I sized up 2 sized for a more relaxed fit. The cut and construction of this sweater is so good that even when I sized up it didn’t feel frumpy!
Fashion layers are a perfect way to freshen and update your wardrobe. I love having these in my closet to wear with my basic tee, jeans, and a comfortable pair of sneakers. You will feel on trend and well dressed with a layer like this cardigan, but the best part is it won’t go out of style and you can wear it year round. These are amazing value to your wardrobe!
This kimono wrap was the most seasonal pieces I tried on. Even thought it may be limited to warm weather wear only, when you do wear it you’ll find endless opportunities! This is a cute wrap with a dress or skirt, a chic layer with tank and capris, or a perfect swim cover up. There are so many ways to wear this that you will want to have it in your suitcase for spring break.
If you know me you can already tell what my favorite feature is of these next few bottoms. The rise! If I could I would wear pants up to my boobs, 😂 . I also am a big fan of ankle fit pants, no matter how tall or not tall you are! These have a classic straight silhouette and tons of stretch. They’d be perfect for everyday wear or business casual.
This might be one of the hardest pieces for women to find on the Wardrobe Essentials Checklist, a pair fo classic black pants. This pair has a pull on waist and tons of stretch. They have a classic straight silhouette and just the right length for me. I tried on the 16W, which fit the waist but fell a little baggy in the but and hips. I would probably do better in a missy 16 or maybe 14W.
Maxi skirts are hard for an apple shape, knit styles are the worst because the cling in all the wrong places. When I found this crepe material maxi I was happy to try it. This fabric drapes nicely and the elastic through the back delivers a comfort fit through the waist.
The colors and patterns that Christopher & Banks has in dresses this season are gorgeous . There is no short supple of beautiful florals and flowy fits that scream spring! This cut is best for a straight body shape. The top is roomy but the skirt is straight with not a ton of movement for curves.
This was the only piece I couldn’t find on-line. This dress has tons of flow and comfort with a fuller skirt. If you are an hour glass or bottom curvy shape this dress will fit you like a dream! To find a store near you to shop this piece click here.
