Old Navy Swim Try-On Spring 2021

More swimsuits!!!! I can’t stop, won’t stop. I love trying on swimsuits. The more I can try, explore, and show the more we will all grow in our confidence to wear them. I’ve been liberated from the covering and camouflaging black swimsuit, and now I am on the constant quest to find something fun and functional!

This round up is from Old Navy. You’ll see noted what size I’m wearing in all the pieces. But let me tell you this. I wish they had or I would have ordered tall sizes. I’ve talked about this before. As an apple shape, one who carries all her curves in the mid section, finding a one piece swimsuit that fits over my belly and doesn’t pull down on the bust or up the butt is hard. With my tummy filling out all most of the suit it can fit a bit short through the torso. So although I am not a tall size, in this particular piece of clothing it’s a great shopping hack!

Another thing a tall size would help with is the cut of the leg. These one piece swimsuits have a higher cut in the leg than others I’ve tried, and less coverage on the back side. A tall would help with more coverage there too, and this is specific to my apple shape I’m dressing.

You should also know I’m 5’8”, size 16/18, and a 40 year old mom of two pre-schoolers!

This swimsuit did not have as high of coverage on the bust as seen in the picture on the website, I think because it’s too short on me. I love the thick straps and everything stays in place!

The fabric on this swimsuit was thinner than the others. With the light color and thinner fabric it wasn’t my favorite, although I did LOVE the color! The straps are adjustable, which is a bonus!

I knew this swimsuit was going to be a winner from the second I saw it. I did keep this one in the leopard print. I love a deep vneck in a swimsuit, but I appreciate it also has good coverage. I also love a one piece with a seam under the bust. It’s great for delivering shape with fit. The straps are adjustable on this one too, and I love the full coverage on the back. Everything stays in place!

Similar to the coral suit the fabric on this felt a little thin. For me, a thinner fabric doesn’t hold everything in place as well as I would like it too, lol! However, this one felt the most secure through the back with the thicker strap and clasp behind the bust, and I liked that.

This was the only tankini I tried, and I loved it! If you have narrow shoulders a halter style is perfect. The high neck with the narrow fit thought the top is a perfect complement to my narrow top. It was so cute! I also felt it gave great support through the bust. The bottom here was also awesome. It had an amazing rise and total full coverage, so comfortable! 10 out of 10!

When I saw these shorts I knew I had to try them. I am not a short wearer at the beach or pool side, but I know many who love them so I wanted to give them a review. They are listed as a mid rise but easily fit as a high rise, supper comfortable and lightweight. Great coverage, but I think they fit big so go down a size!
